Split Step

A small hop just as the opponent hits, landing on both feet so you can move in any direction.

A small hop timed to the moment the opponent hits the ball. You land in balance so you can move quickly in any direction (USA Pickleball). It is also used to stop and hit a reset while you are moving up to the non-volley zone line (kitchen line) (USA Pickleball).
