Dink
A soft shot from near the net that drops into the opponent's kitchen.
A soft shot from near the net that drops into the opponent's non-volley zone (kitchen) (pickleball.com). The opponent cannot step into the kitchen to volley, so a dink is said to be hard to hit back hard (USA Pickleball). USA Pickleball calls the dink one of the most basic shots in pickleball (USA Pickleball).
